Playing games via browser

We have launched an open beta test of playing via browser, and in this article you will find answers on main issues.    

 

What is it?

Now you can run the games with VK Play Cloud right in your browser, without installing the Game Center app.

How to find it?

Just click on the "Play" button on the game or launcher card to start — https://cloud.vkplay.ru/dashboard

Another option is to go to the game page and click on the "Play in the Cloud" button.

Who has access to it?

The functionality is available to all users with a current subscription or hourly plan.

FAQ

Q: I don't have a button "Play in the browser"                                                                                                                                                                                                                Windows: Google Chrome, Yandex browser, Edge and Opera.
MacOS: Google Chrome, Safari.
Linux: Chrome.
Also on ChromeOS/ChromiumOS.

Please make sure that you are using one of these browsers from the latest version and are on the page https://cloud.vkplay.ru/dashboard 

Q: Are gamepads supported?
A: Yes :)

Q: Does the download and installation process waste paid time?
A:
Yes. At this point, you have already connected to the server and the time has started to be charged. 

Q: How to leave full-screen mode?
A: If you want to exit full-screen mode, hold down the ESC key for 2 to 3 seconds. A progress bar will show up, giving you an idea of how much longer you need to hold down the ESC key until the exit is complete.
Keep in mind that the game/server will register the ESC key press.

Q: Why do I see a message saying "All your unsaved progress will be lost" when I leave full-screen mode?
A: This is a feature of the functionality. If you close the game tab, your progress won't be saved automatically. To avoid losing your progress, you need to click "Continue" and create a checkpoint manually.

Q: Why does the message "You already have an active session" appear for me?
A: This means that one of the browser tabs already has a running cloud game session, we recommend to find it.

Q: How much time do I have to get back into the game? What is the AFK?
A: You have 30 minutes until the moment of disconnection.

Q: I have a network error, what should I do?
A: Usually, this issue can be resolved by disabling the VPN and restarting the router. If that doesn't help, please check if the game is launched through the Game Center.. 

Q: Why pressing CTRL+F2 doesn't open the configurator?
A:
We haven't included it in the current version yet, but we are looking into ways of adding it.

Q: I have severe delays in game control and\or blurry picture
A: 
I'ts difficult to get a proper quality of the connection when using Wi-Fi network. Please try to connect via cable if you can.
However, if you are already using a cable connection, we suggest using the native client located in the Gaming Center. This client is designed to minimize delays when using the VK Play Cloud's cloud service, providing a better user experience.
